Features
Main Features and Interface of CBOX
CBOX© is an easy-to-use platform and, at the same time, complete with several useful tools and features. Following let’s see its strengths through the available commands sequence:
Data manager settings
The container for all company standards that can be quickly associated with all managed projects. Within these settings, you can create naming rules, configure approval workflows, define the features that a specific user profile can use, and much more.

Modulo 1
Project
Acting as any “commander” in his own “flight deck” the Project Manager accesses all commands and configures the environment of each project. Once the team of the project has been defined, the Project Manager assigns a role to each user.
The Project Manager can also work by user groups with relative permissions and assignment of folders and subfolders, saving the settings to be able to reuse them in further projects.
All activities are tracked through logs. The logs identify user accesses, track name, date, time and activity carried out.
Documents
The DOCUMENTS module is the beating heart of the application. Documents can be uploaded to folders and subfolders on multiple levels, without limits. Each folder may or may not have automatic naming rules. Each folder responds to fully customizable and configurable access rules.
All documents can be updated (always keeping the history) or frozen, no longer allowing any modification.
All documents can be sorted, ascending or descending according to several search fields: name, description, tags, status, expiration days, code, presence of attachments, etc.
All documents can refer to a unique QR Code that allows you to make sure that it is the updated version. The QR Code can be downloaded and printed, so it can also be managed on analogue media.
In the case of documents with specific authorizations, each User, who has the authorizations, will be able to view or print or download the same document.
Documents in .pdf format can be viewed in the platform with the integrated viewer.
Modulo 2
Modulo 3
Ticket
Any kind of request or communication can be tracked and automatically managed by the platform through the TICKET tool. Depending on the system configuration, Tickets can be transmitted to a single user or a group of users. All activities of each individual Ticket are tracked.
Checklist
This tool allows you to fill in preconfigured fields of various types, including text, boolean, and numeric. It can be assigned to activities, user groups, or individual users.
Modulo 4
Modulo 5
BIM models
The platform works with BIM models in IFC open format. All models can be viewed and queried in the platform, sectioned by element or characteristics.
Transmittal
It allows you to transmit and receive data from external environments to CBOX®, in two ways:
- T-out: it allows to share a document, or a resource placed in CBOX©®, with external users by generating a link. The external user will not have access to CBOX©, anyway.
- T-in: it allows you to embed useful data from external resources. These assets do not necessarily need to be saved or stored in CBOX© (e.g. email attachments).
Modulo 6
Modulo 7
Spaces
All buildings or infrastructure can be divided into spaces. CBOX© allows you to manage, locate, and classify them. For each space it is possible to generate documents, tickets, checklists. It is possible to plan and follow up on O&M activities, such as associating extraordinary activities. CBOX© keeps the history of each activity carried out and of each space, even if it has been divided into several spaces or merged with other spaces, over time. A unique code always allows you to reconstruct the operations carried out.
Asset
CBOX© allows you to catalogue and manage furniture, plants and equipment. It defines all activities related to the assets, also according to the space that contains them. It manages the groupings of objects, it associates to assets with tickets, checklists, and both general and maintenance activities.
Modulo 8
Modulo 9
O&M
CBOX© easily manage both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, starting from quotations to execution. Each intervention is tracked with opening date, status, identification number, priority, allocator and assignee. It is always possible entering additional details, attaching documents and assigning tasks to a specific checklist. The calendar can be configured to adapt to holidays and closing days, automatically recalculating and managing deadlines, revisions and approvals.
IoT
The IoT module has been set up to communicate directly with external sensors. It reads the data, associates them with a corresponding element in the platform, stores the readings and processes the data according to user-defined algorithms. All data can be and exported to be analysed in external third-party applications.
Modulo 10
Modulo 11
Report
Data Managers and Project Managers have access to the reporting module. In this module it is possible to do queries, to analyse data, and to process diagrams and graphs. It is particularly useful for checking the work progress, the ticket completion percentage, the checklists and the maintenance operations. All the reports can be exported in open format to external third-party applications.
Calendar
It displays all activities in which the individual user is involved, it indicates in red the overdue activities, it manages local holidays and celebrations.
